Program Committee Guidelines with respect to Workshops (and other special events)
Weekend Workshops and Ethnic Sunday Workshops:
- work with the workshop chairperson to ask and schedule reviewers for the next month.
- for fall workshops, and with the approval of the program committee, consider also reviewing workshop dances following the January Ethnic Sunday.
- ask beginners class instructor to allow review of easier dances in beginners class.
- work with the workshop chairperson and recordings & equipment chairperson to acquire music that the club does not have.
- the recordings & equipment chairperson will mark and file new music on cd, record music in dance listings (grey and red copies)
- provide listing custodian with list of new music for computer files.
- enter syllabus instructions into the instruction books.
- in Red Book, on blue Miami Valley Folk Dancers Workshop sheet, record all dances taught and associated information.
- follow Guidelines for Ethnic Sundays and beyond: Other and after Ethnic Sunday, as appropriate.
Thursday Evening Workshops
- unfortunately these workshops interfere with our normal schedule.
- perhaps these dances can be reviewed along with the normal reviews.
- consider scheduling an Ethnic Sunday later in the year to include these dances.
- follow other guidelines as appropriate under Weekend Workshops.
